Assistance League of Southwest Washington (ALSW) is excited to once again partner with the Camas-Washougal Chamber of Commerce for the Kids Parade during the 50th annual Camas Days Hometown Festival celebration.
Kids Parade lineup and costume judging begin at 11:30 a.m. in front of City Hall at 4th & Franklin, with the parade stepping off at 12:15 p.m. This year’s Camas Days theme is “Celebrating 50 Years of Camas Days & 250 Years of America.”
To make this year’s celebration even more meaningful, ALSW, the Chamber, and Bookish bookstore are sponsoring a Kids Book Drive throughout the month of July. Donations of new and gently used children’s books will be accepted at the Chamber’s office, Bookish, and Riverview Bank, as well as at the ALSW booth at the Kids Parade. In addition, Bookish will offer 20% off all children’s books purchased and donated in-store between July 1-31.
Books collected by Assistance League of Southwest Washington will be donated to Strive Northwest, a nonprofit that delivers innovative programs for children and adults in our community to become more self-reliant through therapeutic, educational, and employment services.
